The ODU I/O Psychology Student Association (IOPSA) exists to help I/O graduate students gain opportunities to further their careers in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. We are a recognized student organization at ODU, and our faculty advisor is Dr. Karin Orvis.
Our next meeting will be Thursday, November 13, at 1:30 PM (Directly after the IOPSA Grad Panel).
Our organizational leadership is as follows:
- Chief Executor (Greg Leffler)
- Handle operations of the organization
- Schedule and coordinate meetings
- Represent the organization when necessary with the University and other student
- Vice-Executors (Robbie Brusso & Jonathan Holland)
- Represent the organization with the ODU House of Representatives
- Receive training and transition information to manage the organization in the future
- Research Coordinator (Heather Lauzun)
- Collect abstracts of member research to distribute at meetings
- Increase the appreciation of research among the members
- Identify and foster collaborative research opportunities
- Undergraduate Outreach Coordinator (Valerie Morganson)
- Plan, market, and coordinate events to be held focusing on an undergraduate audience
- Brownbag Series Coordinators (Kristina Bauer & Martin Smith-Rodden)
- Enhance the mixture of science and practice by bringing in speakers who combine well with the interests of the organization.
- Schedule brownbag events and secure space reservations as necessary.
- Alumni Relations Coordinator (Kurt Oborn)
- Maintain connections with alumni of the I/O program to enhance the experience of the current students
- Solicit input from alumni on ways to improve the organization

We do not currently have a fixed meeting schedule - meetings are announced via e-mail to the membership prior to the meeting. If you would like to know when meetings are going to be held, please don't hesitate to join the Yahoo group!
